My name is Marie (mAR-ē) Uridia and I’ve spent the majority of my life in the Hudson Valley. I currently live in Germantown with my husband and our sweet baby boy. I first came across hygge when my sister-in-law gave me a related book for Christmas one year. Upon doing a deep dive into the concept, I wondered why more people don't know about this wonderful way of living! Hygge is a Danish term that recognizes that feeling we all get when we take a moment to relax, do the things that bring us joy, and spend time with the people we love. It is my belief that a home should be the epicenter of all of these things. With the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, I find that having a tranquil home environment is a major key to happiness. (It's no wonder Denmark ranks among one of the happiest countries in the world).
